Free gifts, VAT cut & 'Spot the ball'
Date released: 3 December 2008
With Christmas just weeks away the Lord's Shop website, ShopAtLords.com have a special promotion; delivery price cuts - plus a fun competition.

If the cap fits: Support England in the World T20 - just £15 If you're short of gift ideas for the cricket fan in your life, the Lord's Shop has a range of options to suit every budget.
From signed books to DVDs; an Ashes urn to elegant cufflinks there's a present to suit every cricket fan from six to sixty (or older!).
And in the build-up to Christmas every order of £25 or more (excluding postage) will receive a special, free gift: a 10" autograph mini cricket bat - worth £5.
VAT cut - postal prices cut
Following the Chancellor's decision to cut VAT from 17.5% to 15%, ShopAtLords.com have decided to pass the price benefits on to customers - starting from Thursday 4 December.
ShopAtLords.com manager, Christian Ternofsky explains: "Two and a half percent is an awkward amount. 21 pence off one item, 56 pence off another - it all gets quite fiddly.
"To save confusion, we've decided to cut our postal costs by £1. That way all our customers benefit, at a time of year when every penny counts.
"As an added benefit, spend more than £25 and I'll send you a free mini-bat worth five pounds."
Spot the ball competition
What's more, to help while away those dark winter hours, Lords.org and ShopAtLords.com are running a Spot the Ball competition.

Spot a ball like this on the Lords.org website and you could be a winner Over the next three weeks there will be pictures of the exclusive Lord's 'Grace' cricket ball, hidden around the Lords.org website.
If you spot one, click on it - and you could win that ball, sent to you, for free! A Christmas treat from Lord's.
The Grace cricket balls are 5 1/2 ounce, Grade 1 balls worth £17. You could get one free if you Spot the Ball.
