MCC Indoor Cricket School

Indoor School LogoMCC's Indoor Cricket School has long been regarded as one of the world's finest cricket coaching venues.

Founded in the 1970s, it soon produced some of the world's finest cricketers, including Sir Ian Botham, Martin Crowe and Angus Fraser.

Open to the public, today's School, with state-of-the-art facilities, (including the latest Hawk-Eye™ technology) continues to help a wide range of cricketers - from elite players to absolute beginners - develop their batting, bowling and fielding skills.

Regular users include Middlesex players, MCC's Young Cricketers and international cricketers preparing to appear in major matches at Lord's.

Members of the public are welcome too. Facilities include:

  • a 19-yard run-up for bowlers
  • a variable speed bowling machine for batsmen
  • two-way simultaneous video recording equipment
  • a Supergrasse playing surface - especially for cricket
  • a bar & coffee shop for spectators (or tired players!)
  • a smoke-free environment, open seven-days a week

Coaching is available throughout the year, with intensive courses being staged during the school holidays at Christmas, Easter and in the summer.

The MCC Indoor School plays host to a wide variety of other events during the course of the year. They include: the annual London Youth Games; the National Table Cricket Finals for children with disabilities; and the British Blind Schools Six-a-Side and Pairs Challenge.
