Knight cap: Heather receives her cap from Charlotte Edwards Two youngsters from MCC’s stable of young female cricketers shone as England beat India in Mumbai.
Heather Knight, who plays for Cardiff MCCU, and Danielle Wyatt, an MCC Young Cricketer, took England to a tense victory in the fifth and final ODI.
Both were making their debuts but showed calm beyond their years as Knight top-scored with 49 at the top of the order and then 18-year-old Wyatt scored 28 from 26 balls and hit the winning runs.

Winning start: Wyatt hit the winning runs Further good news followed, as both have made England’s provisional 20-strong squad for the ICC World Twenty20 which begins on 5 May.
The squad has a strong MCC flavour: it includes four Playing Members (Claire Taylor, Caroline Atkins, Isa Guha and Ebony Rainford-Brent), five current or former students at MCC Universities (Holly Colvin, Lauren Griffith, Laura Marsh and Nicky Shaw as well as Knight).

MCC & England's Beth Morgan There are also two current or former MCC Young Cricketers (Beth Morgan and Wyatt) and two members of MCC sub-committees (Charlotte Edwards and Atkins).
