On the panel following this year's MCC Spirit of Cricket Cowdrey Lecture, delivered by Imran Khan, were a trio of fast bowlers: Jeff Thomson, Graham Onions & Steve Finn.
TV presenter and former Hampshire captain Mark Nicholas hosted a discussion panel after the lecture when the speedy quartet discussed everything from their bowling heroes; to sledging; fair play; and speed guns.

Onions, an Ashes winner in 2009 and Finn, tipped to be part of England's Ashes tour to Australia this winter start by discussing their bowling heroes:
Finn, coached at Middlesex by former England bowler Angus Fraser, went on to reveal some unusual advice given to him by the Middlesex Director of Cricket:
Onions and Pakistan's World Cup winning skipper, Imran, then discussed the blend of speed and skill required of fast bowlers:
Australia legend Thomson then joined the fray and he and Imran debated the merits of the old and new speed-gun systems for measuring the pace of bowlers' deliveries:
Unsurprisingly West Indies' super-fast bowler Michael Holding came up during the conversation about quick bowlers and Imran went on to reminisce about facing the fearsome Windies attack:

Finally, Thomson (noted for his aggression on the field) remembers the first time he met Colin Cowdrey, who enshrined the Spirit of Cricket into the Laws.
